These old Indian lassi cup are from North India and are made from nickel plated brass. Each one has its own hand etched Mughal design.Ā They date back to the early 20thĀ century, circa 1920.Ā
Lassi is a delicious Indian & Pakistani drink made from yogurt. It can be drunk both sweetĀ (meethiĀ lassi)Ā and salty (namkeen lassi) and is most often flavoured with mango or herbs and spices like fennel. Occasionally lassi is laced withĀ bhangĀ (hashish) - especially at the Spring Holi festival time.
