This locust wood wine table is from Shanxi province and dates to the 19th century. It has its original drawers & fittings. Wine tables were used for entertaining guests on arrival - usually with a chair placed on either side. For the guest and the host. Our antique wine tables come from Gansu, Shanxi and Shandong Province. The woods used were often Elm, but they were sometimes made from more expensive woods, such as Walnut, Pear or Cypress wood.
