This old Indian loan from Rajasthan, India is a unique talking point and perfectly suited for a bathroom or hallway for some interesting and unusual wall art. The loan is for four annas, each anna is worth 1/16 of a rupee. The Indian anna was retired as a currency in 1957 when India decimalised, and was replaced by the paise (which has subsequently become redundant with inflation). This loan dates from around 1940 and is supplied in an old frame and a hanging loop at the top.
