This Chinese kitchen cabinet dates from the 19th century, Qing dynasty (1644ā‚¬ā€œ1911). As the name suggests was used in the kitchen for drying noodles and storing food. Their defining characteristic is latticework on the doors which allows for airflow in and out of the cabinet. This gives them a totally unique look which makes them stand out from other cabinets of their size.

This particular piece is made from poplar wood and comes with four outward opening doors for access to the lower main compartment, and two latticework doors that open to reveal the smaller upper compartment.Ā
