Cedar Kang Table From Tianjin - 19thC

Cedar Kang Table From Tianjin - 19thC. This has remnants of the original lacquer and the original brass handles are typical of the Tianjin style. These make great tables for the end of a bed or in front of a T.V or stereo system used behind a sofa or as a coffee table.

Kang cabinets were used beside the Kang which was a raised stone platform used as a bed or lounging area in wealthy homes. Traditionally, this was heated from underneath in the winter.
