Rosewood Seed Drills From Kerala - 19th Century
These beautifully carved antique Indian seed drills have developed a wonderful patina over the decades. The rosewood seed drills are usually from Kerala in South India. In Gujarat, they're called orani (ઓરણી) and would have been used to sow seeds in the fields. The carvings have been softened through over 100 years of repeated daily use.
We have left these seed drills unwaxed for a more rustic feel.
Like many things in India, seed drills were made for a practical purpose - beautifully carved by Marathi craftsmen in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Nowadays these seed drills are great used as a candlestand or just as a beautiful decorative object.

Option 2: 13 x 12 x 10.5 (wxdxh cm)
