This style of pot was used for tobacco and opium and is a real collector's piece. This piece dates to the 19thĀ century and has been beautifully constructed using brass and teakwood which has developed a great patina with age. These pots are found in Rajasthan & Gujarat and are made from a single piece of wood. The top on this piece has long since been lost and has an old replacement from the mid 20thĀ century.Ā These pots were well cared for and in constant use.Ā Ā 

These pots are becoming increasingly hard to find.
