The brass fittings are original to the piece which dates from the early 20th century.
Constructed from poplar wood, thisĀ beautiful sideboard has 6 drawers and 6 doors which makes it perfect for use in a dinning room or kitchen.Ā
Originally used by nomadic people for storage of clothes, bedding or grain, they would have had few possessions so this might also have beenĀ used as Ā an altar cabinet for family ancestor worship.
